South Africa by 4×4 Part 3 – Garden Route

It certainly lived up to it’s name, miles and miles of lush green landscapes, lakes and lagoons covering the stretch of coast land from Cape Town to The Wild Coast. All in all we spent about a week and a half in this area but could easily have spent the entire trip there. Everywhere we went was stunning, peaceful and safe, which after Cape Town was a welcomed change.

Goodbye Cape Town

Glad to be finally leaving Cape Town and that city feeling

Agulhas

The most southerly point of Africa.

Secret Kite Spot

Wilderness - Island Lake

Highly recommended camp spot islandlake.co.za

Base jumping

Whiles taking a peek at a dis-used bungee jump bridge we happened a cross a group of base jumpers putting a show for the local rail workers.

Bloukrans Bridge

Sedgefield

St. Francis Bay

One of the best kite spots we found. A man made canal joining the lagoon makes one incredible flat water spot.
