Winter in Tarifa

Consistent wind and empty beaches, winter in Tarifa is a perfect kite surfing get away and the perfect space to plan the year ahead. Couldn’t ask for more!

Playa de los Lances

Playa de los Lances stretches some 7kms west from the town of Tarifa. Although it is in reality one beach, the diversity of setting as you move along the coast makes  it feel more like a collection of smaller beaches each with their own individual charm and charisma.

Lagoon Shots

Depending on some combination of unpredictable events a lagoon stretching the length of playa de los Lances can appear overnight and stay for weeks creating a perfect flat water kite surfing playground!

Rio de la Jara

Valdevaqueros

Slightly further along the coast is the beautiful beach of Valdevaqueros. The spot although slightly more gusty than los Lnaces, works for both prevailing winds; the Poniente and the Levante.

Pause…

After 10 years living, working and playing in London it was time to press the pause button on that life. Goodbye London, goodbye 9-5, hello unknown and possibility!

The first leg of a new adventure; London to South of Spain!

Poole harbour - The point of no return

Well it’s official I have left the UK!

Santander - Land ahoy!

The shores of Santander, a welcome sight after 26 hours at sea. Next up Zaragoza for an evening with my tia then Valencia to see my Primo.

Good morning Valencia!

The view from my cousins apartment.

Goodbye Valencia

After a few days at my cousins place in Valencia it was time to hit the road again. Valencia to South of Spain.

Leaving Valencia

Last sight of Valencia, what a beautiful day for an 8 hour drive!

The road south

Approaching Sierra Nevada

Getting closer to the south coast, finally Sierra Nevada on the horizon!

The south Coast somewhere near Marbella

Finally hit the south coast after 8 hours driving from Valencia, feeling pretty spaced out! Nearly at the the final destination and then it will be time to start getting used to beach life!
